As every one in the south knows, we have just had the snowstorm of the decade. It was only six inches but with the population of Georgia and the amount of snowplows we have here, it was pretty much a catastrophe. Although skating, and sledding on the roads was fun, one kinda get tired of it after three days, when this happens the funnest thing to do (if you have ski’s of course) is to attach a  rope to the back of the car, get your ski’s on, hold onto the rope, and enjoy the ride as the car goes as fast as the driver wants it to. I am not speaking from experience of course, but from watching as the neighbors down the street do it, letting out a blood curdling scream to the driver as they realize that there is a Hugh hill they are about to go over, that they had forgotten about. Each time the car went by there was a different unsuspecting victim rider, and each time the car came back up the hill there was the driver on the back, laughing. after a while people finally wised up to this, and the sport ended.

Every one here thinks that as soon as it snows they are going to run out of everything. Thankfully they were smart enough not to drive on the roads one could barely stand on, but instead formed a procession to go to  the Kroger at the top of our street. Most people I noticed went about twice a day. Annoyingly, though not with out good reason my brother and I were made to shovel the driveway, so while ours was nice and clear, at every other house you could ice skate.

It is now almost completely melted and I am suddenly having a longing for more, I think this may be fixed with brain surgery. -Sarah
